Role Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join and lead our finance operations team. Dual reporting to the Head of Accounting and Finance, South East Asia (SEA) and Head of Finance, Malaysia, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial processes.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, overseeing tax compliance matters, and supporting various finance transformation initiatives such as e-invoicing implementation, system migration projects, and process improvements
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the finance and accounting operations of all the legal entities under ENGIE Malaysia across the LEI and Renewable GBUs, with the assistance of 5 headcounts.
- Responsible for month-end closing and group reporting on timely basis.
- Responsible for the companies’ cashflow - monitoring of payable aging report, receivable aging report and keep track on AR collection, capital expenditure spending and payment milestone.
- Review SST tax return & corporate tax related matters.
- Manage of treasury and being the key focal point of finance for liaising with Bankers for repayment of loan/borrowing and loan covenants.
- Key focal point of Finance for internal and external stakeholders (auditors, tax agents, company secretary, internal departments, etc.)
- Drive the continuous improvement of the accounting function through adoption of technology, new process flow and skill development
- Responsible for meeting all group and local statutory reporting requirements
- Ensure proper internal control and corporate governance in place to safeguarding assets, mitigating risks and achieving corporate objectives
- Identify, Assess, Monitor and Report potential risk, downside, losses that may arises from action or inaction; contribute in establishing effective Enterprise Risk Management
- Assist in obtaining and maintaining financial resources to fund the operation and investment needs
- Handling administrative and any other ad hoc assignments as required by the superior
Requirements
- Candidates must possess at least Professional Certificates/Diploma/Advance Diploma/ Degree of Accounting/Finance/Banking or equivalent
- At least 7 years working experience, 3 years in full sets accounting and 4 years in audit environment
- Proactive and independent
- Analytical with strong synthesis skills
- Proven leadership skill. Able to lead a team of 5-8 pax.
- Communicative and team spirit person
- Ability to show initiative and drive continuous improvements
- Goal getting, driven, committed, with strong planning and execution capabilities
