Context:

The GEM Back Office Department is seeking a permanent Trade Business Support Analyst to join the Trading Support team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily operations related to Gas, Power, Oil, and Emission trades.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile and validate deals entered by Sales and Traders (OTC & Exchanges).
  • Manage daily margin calls for OTC and Cleared deals.
  • Verify derivatives products bookings and expiry levels.
  • Oversee the issuance and matching of deal confirmations, invoices, and settlements.
  • Collaborate with Front Office and other support functions to enhance understanding of trading floor activities.
  • Assist the team with day-to-day tasks and operations.
  • Follow up with counterparties regarding confirmations and late payments.
  • Cooperate with other departments to streamline processes.
  • Handle requests received in the mailbox.

Hard Skills:

  • Client-focused with strong communication skills for interacting with Sales, Trading, Market Risk, and Finance teams.
  • Knowledge of OTC & Cleared Derivatives and the Transaction Cycle.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in MS Office and information systems; advanced knowledge of VBA is a plus.

Education and Professional Background:

  • Master’s degree (I/II) in Business, Finance, Economics, or Science.
