Context
ENGIE S&EM is a key player in the European biomethane market, helping companies accelerate their low-carbon transition. The demand for renewable gas solutions is booming, and we are looking for a talented sales professional to strengthen our market presence and support B2B clients across Europe in achieving their sustainability goals.
Location: FR, BE, NL, DE or UK
Your Mission
As a Sales – European Biomethane, you will:
- Develop and expand ENGIE’s biomethane client portfolio across Europe.
- Act as a trusted advisor to B2B clients on their green gas strategies and low-carbon ambitions.
- Design tailored biomethane solutions and innovative products to meet client needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams (trading, economic research, ESG, regulatory, marketing) to drive commercial success and market growth.
What we are looking for
We seek a commercially driven and entrepreneurial individual with a passion for sustainability and energy transition. Someone who thrives in client-facing roles, is confident in negotiations, and can turn opportunities into long-term partnerships.
Hard skills
- Proven track record in B2B sales, business development, or brokerage.
- Strong knowledge of energy markets, environmental commodities, or sustainability consulting.
- Ability to structure and negotiate commercial agreements with corporate clients.
- Solid understanding of corporate sustainability trends (Scope 1–3 emissions, Net Zero, ESG frameworks).
- Excellent organizational and pipeline management skills.
Soft skills
- Self-starter with high motivation and results orientation.
- Strong commercial mindset and client-centric approach.
- Confident communicator, skilled in building trust and long-term relationships.
- Collaborative team player able to work cross-functionally in an international environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset to tailor innovative solutions
Education & Experience
- Degree in Business, Finance, Sustainability, Energy, or related fields.
- 2+ years of professional experience in B2B sales, sustainability consulting, business development, or brokerage.
- First-hand exposure to the biomethane or green gas market is an advantage.
Languages
- Fluent English is required.
- Proficiency in Dutch, German, or French is a strong asset
