Context:

Within S&EM, The Marketing Pricing and Offering (MPO) team oversees the full supply offering process and manages the supply risks for contracts sold by the Business Platform CLIENTS. As a key front division, BP Clients is dedicated to handling energy sales contracts and services for major industrial clients across Europe—referred to as the Giants. The team aims to be recognized by its clients as the leading provider in market management and energy transition services.. This portfolio represents approximately 75 TWh of natural gas and 30 TWh of power delivered each year in France, Belgium, & Netherland equivalent to a turnover of 4.5 billion euros in 2024 . Beyond commodities, the department also manages Certificates (such as CEE, CRM, Green certificates…) and Guarantees of Origin.

The department is organized into 2 teams

– Structuration : Responsible for preparing commodity supply offers (electricity, natural gas), for account managers

– Hedging and Position Management : focuses on developing pricing methodologies and hedging strategies, represents overseeing and monitoring risks and conducting short-term forecasting.

Role:

As an Energy Manager in the Trading floor, working closely with originators, finance and back-office teams, your main responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing both physical and financial positions from contract signature through to the end of delivery

- Monitoring the short-term forecast accuracy and managing imbalance costs

- Leading strategic projects to enhance/improve tool integration within our industrialized “DIGITAL” solutions and coordinating critical high-demand periods throughout the annual cycle in project mode (EOYear Project).

- Continuously adapting pricing methodology to reflect changing market conditions

- Defining hedging strategies (including swaps, options, weather derivatives, Quanto, etc …)

- Supporting the Structuration team during the offering process

- Contributing to the digitalization of front to finance operations

- Measuring the effectiveness of our management actions in collaboration with the finance team

- Managing & tracking the various commodities in our portfolio including Power, Gas and Certificates (GC GoO CVO CRM Biomethane…).

Hard skills:

· Strong analytical and modeling skills to develop and/or coordinate studies for creating tailored offers within the defined risk mandate

· Good knowledge of the gas and electricity market structure, especially for large industrial customers.

· Knowledge of our Key tools Energy Portal is a strong plus to allow the acceleration of the Certificate portfolio management set up.

· Knowledge of Orchestrade is a plus,

· Ability to manage and present large datasets using VBA, Excel, Python, Power BI

· Knowledge on financial products

· Understanding of trading and risk management practices

· Proficient in Python and Excel VBA Understanding of industrials process is a plus

Week-End Shift

· Currently, there is no weekend presence; however, an investigation is underway to assess the implementation of a 3-hour shift (10:00–13:00) to mitigate operational errors currently being experienced.
