Portfolio Manager – GREC team H/F

📍 Based in Paris – La Défense.

Context

E&C (Entreprises et Collectivités) is the commercial entity within GEMS (Global Energy Management & Sales) dedicated to supplying gas and power to the French B2B market.

Within E&C, the GREC team manages both positions and risks of the portfolio. Belonging to E&C and to the Downstream business platform, GREC ensures consistency in tools and methodologies for portfolio management across France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.


Your Mission

Core responsibilities

  • Daily management of the portfolio: contract booking, hedging activities, and P&L analysis, with a particular focus on gas.

Additional missions

  • Design and implement macro-hedging strategies (volume risk, customer consumption reforecast, cost valuation).

  • Contribute to the enhancement of IT systems (prioritization of functionalities, specifications, testing, project follow-up).

  • Drive the automation of operational processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.


What we are looking for

Hard skills

Must have:

  • Strong mathematical and statistical skills.

  • Proven ability to manipulate and analyze data.

  • Programming knowledge (VBA, Python, SQL).

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of financial products.

  • Knowledge of energy markets (gas expertise is a plus).

Soft skills

Must have:

  • Rigorous and detail-oriented.

  • Reactive and adaptable.

  • Strong team player.

Nice to have:

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously.


Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree (engineering or business school) with a strong quantitative background.

  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a relevant role.


Languages

  • Fluent French and English are required.


Location & Travels

📍 Based in Paris – La Défense.
✈️ Occasional travel to Brussels may be required.
