OneBtoC & BtoC France, part of the ENGIE Group, is recruiting its:

Head of OneBtoC Data Engineering – OneBtoC & BtoC France (F/M)

Location: La Défense, then moving to La Garenne-Colombes during the first quarter of 2026.

Reports to:

Chief Digital & Information Officer (OneBtoC)

Role Overview:

The Head of OneBtoC Data Engineering will lead and animate the design, implementation, and optimization of data engineering capabilities across the OneBtoC organization and specifically for BtoC France, ensuring consistent and knowledge sharing engineering practices and technologies in line with Supply & Energy Management GBU standards and guidelines. This role is pivotal in enabling ENGIE’s digital transformation and data-driven strategy, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure data platforms that support advanced analytics, AI/GenAI initiatives, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute the data engineering roadmap aligned with S&EM and OneBtoC transformation objectives and BtoC France priorities.
• Drive adoption of modern data architectures (data lakehouse, streaming, cloud-native solutions) and engineering best practices.

Platform & Pipeline Management

• Oversee the design and maintenance of data ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines to ensure high-quality, timely, and reliable data for business and analytics teams.
• Ensure automation and CI/CD practices for data workflows to enhance efficiency and resilience.

Data Governance & Quality

• Collaborate with Data Governance teams to embed data quality controls and lineage tracking within engineering processes.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and ENGIE Group standards for data security and privacy.

AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement

• Partner with Data Science and AI teams to provide optimized data environments for machine learning and GenAI use cases.
• Support integration of AI-driven data quality and monitoring tools.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and animate a high-performing team of data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Act as a bridge between S&EM GBU and data engineers team in BtoC entities, central OneBtoC teams and BtoC France squads, ensuring alignment and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Experience:
• 10+ years in software or data engineering, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven track record in large-scale software or data platform implementations and cloud technologies (AWS).
• Proven experience and track record in software or data for business, directly liaising as delivery manager with businesses to drive delivery strategy related to business needs
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in ETL/ELT frameworks, distributed computing, and modern data stack (Dataiku, Databricks).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, API integration, and real-time data processing.
• Leadership: Ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across geographies.
• Languages: French, and Fluent in English.
