ENGIE Global Energy Management & Sales has a global presence where its Short Term activities are organized from 8 offices worldwide. From there we operate the gas & power markets twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

This role will be organized in the Expertise Center Short Term and is part of a people development program were we want to steer and support talented profiles in our shift teams.


By taking part in this program and after your training and first mission in your country of residence, you will have the opportunity for a one year mission abroad in another shift team.


Mission / Description of role

Within your first mission, you become part of the Gas delivery and Operations team where you play a key role in providing energy management services for our own and 3rd party assets in Europe:


Gas Delivery and Operation participate to Short Term activities together with Asset Management and Delivery Oversights. These two teams manage the delivery of gas and the asset optimization on the European network.

In your team your main tasks will be the following

-             Conduct of physical operations (balancing, nominations, control & follow-up of matching reports) arising from gas trading activities.

-             Acquiring and developing an in-depth knowledge and expertise in gas markets operating rules.

-             Putting in place and updating internal processes and systems to support new businesses and adapt to markets rules changes.

-             Participate to Short term trading activities and asset optimisation (shift trading)

-             Work in shift 3*8 6h-13h 13h-20h 20h-6h (morning,evening and night)

Hard Skills

  • An interdisciplinary skill is a must: Economical (trading, risk management), Financial (P&L, Reporting) & Digital (Data, Coding, PO)
  • Any knowledge of physical power and gas markets is a plus.


Education of professional background

Bachelor or master in relevant studies (Engineering, Economics or Digital)

Professional experience on energy markets and/or digitalization is a plus.
