Health and Safety Supervisor - PV Solar Projects (18 Month Fixed Term Contract)

As a Health and Safety Supervisor for our PV Solar projects in Ireland, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our construction sites maintain the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility.

Core responsibilities
- Serve as ENGIE's on-site representative for Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) issues
- Coordinate and supervise HSE activities across multiple PV Solar construction sites
- Verify contractor compliance with project safety plans and ENGIE's HSE requirements
- Conduct risk analyses and promote last-minute risk assessments for new or adapted processes
- Lead daily HSE meetings and maintain high safety standards through various engagement tools
- Investigate and report on incidents, near-misses, and potential high-risk situations
- Prepare monthly HSE reports and track key performance indicators
- Support the attainment and maintenance of ISO accreditations
What you will bring to the role.
- Hold an accredited Professional Health and Safety qualification (essential)
- Possess a strong working knowledge of Republic of Ireland Health and Safety legislation
- Have experience in a Health and Safety role, preferably in the construction or renewable energy sector
- Demonstrate familiarity with environmental regulations, particularly in waste management
- Exhibit excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Show proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Display strong problem-solving and dispute resolution abilities
- Ideally, have experience in PSCS and/or PSDP roles (desirable)
- Hold a recognized Fire Risk Assessor qualification (desirable)
Job Based In
Our PV Solar projects are located across Galway, Limerick, and Offaly, within a radius of approximately 100 km. This role requires on-site presence at various construction locations.
