Purpose of the Position:
The Finance Sr Manager Networks position is primarily responsible for partnering with the Networks GBU. The incumbent will:
- Act as the finance SPOC for the business and an advisor to the N-GBU country MDs and their teams, coordinating with the different finance functions as applicable.
- Support the N-GBU in achieving its financial objectives by providing the analysis, insight and challenge into its decisions
- With a strong focus on future performance, actively participate in the management dialog and facilitate interaction between different finance functions and the N-GBU.
The Finance Sr Manager Networks will oversee the financial activities of the N-GBU, responding directly to the ENGIE MEXICO CFO.
Responsabilities and Job Functions:
Act as the secondary arm of the CFO for all the activities related to N-GBU involving the different finance functions. Suggest and/or identify business opportunities and challenge and influence N-GBU decisions and strategy.
Partnering: lead the development of partnering relationships with the N-GBU country MD and their teams, and with stakeholders throughout ENGIE (Mexico, LATAM Region and HQ). SPOC role for the MD to help on the interaction and rapid resolution of different finance challenges and deliverables within different transversal finance functions. Be responsible for the quality of the Management Dialog with the N-GBU, ensuring timely & qualitative reporting and detailed understanding of the business. Helps the interaction with the FP&A team, FBP of N-GBU, and the N-GBU team.
Participate on interactions with external financial stakeholders (lenders, financial partners, …) and actively assure compliance of our commitments with them.
Improve the visibility and understanding of business performance. Propose restructures, resizing or cost efficiencies to improve the N-GBU financial performance with no risk and/or business impact. Identify and anticipate potential risks that could affect the financial results of the N-GBU. Ensure the proper control of the projects of the N-GBU, ensuring the compliance at financial, fiscal, legal and regulatory level.
Decision support: Turn data into insights and use these to provide high quality advice and support in influencing the N-GBU’ decisions.
ERM: Deliver insights and monitor business risk and opportunities. Supports identification and quantification of N-GBU ERM by the risk officer who is located at country level. Is responsible of the follow up of the ERM action plan in his/her GBU operational area (however the ownership of risks and accountability for risk management including mitigation plans implementation sits with the N-GBU country MD).
Act as project manager of any finance/GBU joint project/priority involving different stakeholders of the Finance/N-GBU functions (and occasionally, other functions)
Be the finance representative for the GBUs (in addition to AIFA) in any business development initiative, including M&As. Support investment decisions and assure performance follow up and integration of the project together with AIFA, operational teams and other local finance teams
Supervise the adequate execution of the financial support functions, including, but not limited to: payables, invoicing, collection and procurement ensuring the compliance with the local processes and policies and avoiding any impact to the operation of the companies.
Ocupational Profile:
BS in Public Accounting, business administration or finance required
Master’s Degree and/or CPA preferred.
Specific Business Understanding - Experienced working in complex multinational organizations; and understanding of the energy sector.

Bilingual English/Spanish – Must
5-10 years’ experience in senior finance roles and/or relevant to the role requirements
