Deputy Project Manager

Purpose of the Position:

Planification and supervise a wide range of projects from start to finish, as well as organize and supervise construction and commissioning procedures and ensure that them are completed on time and efficiently, implementing all methodologies and procedures of the area, as well as coordinate a team of professionals from different disciplines to achieve the best results and ensure that all projects are delivered on time, according to requirements and within budget.

Responsabilities and Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with engineers, specialists, etc. to determine the specifications of the project
  • Support to Purchase area in the negotiation contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
  • Follow to hiring contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
  • Supervise the work of laborers and give them guidance when needed
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
  • Ensure adherence to all security, health & safety and environment standards and report issues
  • Follow to contracts, payments and requisitions to ensure the correct budget application on Ce.Co’s and PEP’s and evaluate the figures with Finance Planning area


Ocupational Profile:

  • Civil, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical engineering or similar
  • Minimum 10 years in project management
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material, as well as project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software
  • English: Advanced Proficiency
