Purpose of the Position:
Responsible for leading the data strategy of Engie Mexico, driving the Data agenda and ensuring the deployment and compliance of the Group Data Policy in collaboration with the Region and the Group Data Organization, as well as identifying data-driven solutions to improve business outcomes.
Responsabilities and Job Functions:
Data Strategy:
Define a data Strategy and a 3-year roadmap related to the business objectives of Engie Mexico and revisit it every year, in strong collaboration with the Region and the overall data strategy of the organization.
Data Management & Governance:
Ensure the deployment and compliance of the Group Data Policy, oversee the collection, management, and storage of data across the organization, define and appoint the different roles of Data Governance, as well as ensure data quality, consistency, compliance with relevant regulations as well as the right level of coordination with the different businesses to guarantee the necessary change management and the acceleration of data awareness and management.
Management:
Responsible for the Data, Analytics and Business Intelligence teams within ENGIE Mexico. This team defines, stores, manages and supplies the data structures necessary to transform information into value for the company's decisionmaking until the C-level, through different technological platforms, in an agile, fluid and business environment. Seek the training and development of the people under its responsibility, in order to contribute to the achievement of levels of efficiency and motivation of its team that respond to the needs of Engie Mexico.
DataOps and Distributed Data Architecture & Applications:
Define a business strategy of data applications and disruptive technologies and the interaction with current and future technological environments to guarantee services, decision-making, process optimization and value
generation and digitalization in ENGIE Mexico Manage and define with his team and external providers the best technological solution architecture and the implementation strategy for the improvement and innovation of processes and services of ENGIE Mexico. Assertively communicate to all users, external providers and IT members about the outage and/or maintenance that is carried out on the services established by the IT Management that ensure the operation of the company.
Budget
Responsible for budget execution of Data, Analytics, AI initiatives Manage, coordinates and optimize the use of Analytics, Data, AI, as well as solve business needs, through coordination and strategic planning, managing the budget and prioritization of the project portfolio. Its main clients and collaboration network are VPs, Directors and Sr. Managers.
Data Culture and Collaboration
Establish a data-driven culture as a key responsibility by educating and training employees on effective data use and promoting inter-departmental collaboration.
Encourage sharing data across teams and departments
Ocupational Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Systems, or a related field (Graduated).
Master's degree in IT, MBA, or similar
ITIL, SCRUM, PMI Certification
Project Management
Knowledge and management of BI tools (BW, Fiori, Power BI,
Microstrategy, Tableau, or others)
10 years of experience in:
Manager / Senior Manager / Director with a minimum of 8 years of experience in:
Business Intelligence platforms (Microstrategy, Tableau, Business Objects,
Denodo, PowerBI, data warehouse)
Creation of analytical solutions for various business aspects
Support of Business Intelligence applications
Generation of use cases and their applications
Project Management (PMO) desirable: Scrum, PMP
