Position Purpose
As KYC Analyst, your mission will be to support Engie Mexico businesses realizing a comprehensive KYC/AML and ethics compliance analysis for new and existing counterparties, so that a compliance recommendation is issued for the front office, and comply with the global internal regulation for the onboarding of counterparties, as well as the monitoring of existing ones by updating the compliance status of the KYCs performed.
Your Impact
You will contribute directly to our mission by performing key responsibilities such as:
Analyze files, ensuring compliance with KYC/AML and Ethics standards for new and existing counterparties.
Support the Front Office by controlling KYC/AML risks through clauses proposals with the counterparties, in collaboration with the Legal department.
Participate in cross-functional tasks and controls, such as portfolio reports for ENGIE Group and local reports, sanctions monitoring, PEP, press reports, etc.
Ensure the monitoring of existing counterparties in terms of KYC in order to generate alerts if necessary.
In some cases, support regulatory projects and support new process-improvement activities.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics, Trade/Commerce, or Accounting.
1+ years of experience; 1+ years minimum Experience (in a bank highly appreciated).
Technical Skills
General knowledge of Compliance: PEP, fraud identification, sanctions and money laundering.
General knowledge of KYC: Customer Identification Program (CIP), Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD). Knowledge of applicable Mexican regulation, specifically of Article 115 of the Credit Institutions Law and Annexes 25 and 25-Bis of the Miscellaneous Tax Resolution. Use of tools such as Lexis Nexis, Transparint and other profile-search tools (nice to have).
