GBS Process Management Lead

Position Mission: Responsible for end-to-end process mapping, documentation, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives across GBS processes. This role ensures compliance with internal controls, supports audit readiness, and drives operational excellence through collaboration and governance.

 

Your Impact: As GBS Process Management Lead, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to our mission by performing the following key functions:

 

Process Design & Governance

  • Lead end-to-end process mapping using BPMN/SIPOC standards, diagramming tools (Visio), and RACI matrices.
  • Maintain a live inventory of processes and controls, ensuring ownership, periodic reviews, and compliance with documentation standards.
  • Cascade global policies and procedures to the local teams
  • Develop and manage local SOPs and Work Instructions with version control, change traceability, and centralized repository access.

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities using Lean, Kaizen, VSM, etc.
  • Build business cases to quantify impact (cost, quality, time, risk) and define implementation roadmaps.
  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders (FinOps, RTR, P2P, O2C, Tax, Treasury, Accounting) to analyze and optimize processes.
  • Lead and assist teams using root cause analysis methodology to resolve operational issues.

 

Risk & Compliance

  • Assess risks and controls in financial processes, including failure point identification, control testing (design/operation), segregation of duties (SoD), and remediation.
  • Manage internal control action plans: define actions, assign responsibilities, track progress, validate evidence, and report status to governance.
  • Prepare for internal and external audits: coordinate requirements, compile evidence, conduct walkthroughs, and remediate findings.

 

Project Management & Implementation Support

  • Lead and support process improvement and transformation projects from initiation to closure.
  • Define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Collaborate with Operational Excellence, Transformation teams, and Global Process Owners (GPOs) to align initiatives and avoid duplication.

 

Performance Monitoring

  • Establish and track KPIs for operational efficiency and control effectiveness.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership on process performance and project

 

Change Management & Training

  • Develop and execute change management plans, including communication strategies and training programs.
  • Create quick reference guides and ensure smooth adoption of new processes and controls.

 

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to internal and external standards related to Quality, Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment.
  • Understand roles and responsibilities in safety and environmental compliance as per SEGURIDAD-RE-01.

 

 

Requirements: 

  • Education and Experience: 
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
    • Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, BPM, or Internal Controls (e.g., COSO, SOX) desired.
    • 4+ years of experience in process management and improvement
    • Experience in SSC/GBS and Finance Operations is desirable
    • Experience in automation and transformation initiatives

 

  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong background in process management, operational excellence
    • Proven experience in project management (preferably PMP or similar certification).
    • Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Knowledge in Internal Control (COSO, segregation of duties, risk evaluation)
    • Knowledge in process automation (opportunity identification): power platform, RPA, Winshuttle
    • Proficiency in BPMN, Visio, and process documentation tools.
    • Experience in financial process is desirable.
