Position Mission: The Specialist Business Controller, part of S&EM finance team, is responsible for monitoring and analyzing results in order to support the development of the entities in S&EM Mexico. He/she is in charge of the homogeneity of working methods within the BU. He/she is involved in all financial matters, proposes solutions or innovations to simplify processes, reduce workloads and increase productivity.
Your Impact: As Finance Specialist, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to our mission by performing the following key functions:
- Create and manage tools, databases, financial reports, KPIs, etc. with the aim of facilitating the monitoring of activities and optimizing decision making.
- Identify, follow and propose improvements to existing processes in the financial area from a digital point of view.
- Anticipate the way to structure the information to facilitate its analysis, be able to cross the information considering various sources, detect patterns or differences and search for root causes.
- Propose and implement new digital technologies to streamline processes.
- Explain results visually and guide conclusions for a multidisciplinary audience.
- Participate as a point of contact between the technology and business areas, in order to permeate knowledge within the team.
- Analyze monthly GBU OPEX to detect deviations and propose mitigation actions, Develop cost to serve and cost to acquire indicators.
- Participate in the definition of strategies and objectives in the short and medium term.
- Coordinate with the other financial departments and GBUs financial requests.
- Develop a management cockpit including the follow up of cash positions and forecasts
- Analyze the effectivity of FX hedging strategy and propose adaptations
Requirements: To join our team as Finance Specialist, we are looking for:
- Education and Experience: Technological profiles that want to develop a path within finance are also welcome (Data Scientist, IT engineering, etc.). Degree on accounting, finance or related, with digital knowledge. 1 – 3 years of experience in similar role.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of reporting & data visualization tools, SAP and Power BI is a plus. Knowledge of programming languages, Python being a must and Excel.
- Database management is a plus.
- Economic and financial skills (general accounting principles of which IFRS, cost accounting, financial analysis).
