Role Mission:
Within BP Mexico, in an environment mixing B2B supply of power and gas, origination and trading, generating 70 MEUR EBIT, with additional growth potential, you will lead S&EM finance team, manage S&EM financials, pursue the automation of analysis according to S&EM standards. You will have a strong link with BP US and coordination with risk control team
Your Impact:
As Chief Financial Officer, you will directly contribute to the area’s objectives by taking part in key activities such as:
Manage S&EM Financials
- Ensure a global oversight role on financial processes for S&EM Mexico (invoicing, payments collection, accounting, treasury management, business control, …).
- Ensure financial processes are robust and efficient. Accelerate digitalization of processes.
- Lead the preparation of the yearly budget/MTP processes for S&EM Mexico. Lead the preparation of Monthly Business Reviews in an environment mixing S-P and MtM results.
- Improve the analysis and forecasts of CFFO
- Coordinate the collection of KPIs and commercial reports
- Navigate in a environment mixing local supply contracts, NAESB and ISDAs between supply, origination and trading.
- Provide accurate follow up of treasury and improve the FX hedging actions
- Ensure a close coordination with S&EM OneB2B Finance teams and Mexico/Latam Finance teams.
- Manage the interactions with external auditors
- Review and challenge the production of GBS team (P&L, balance sheet, tax)
- Work with tax team of Engie Mexico to anticipate fiscal impacts of S&EM activities
- Strengthen the relationship with BP US and BP B2B Supply US
- Lead transformation project for finance (GET, BeeStone Finance, OnePulse ..)
- Lead local digital transformation of S&EM Finance, and leverage on synergies with BP B2B Supply US and contribute to data governance
Act as Internal Control SPOC
- Coordinate the documentation of S&EM Mexico processes and integrate in the core of our processes internal control culture
- Animate the relationship with Engie Mexico’s internal control team and S&EM Internal control
- Improve the implementation of internal control in S&EM Mexico
Develop and Maintain a robust link with Front Office and coordinate Risk Control teams
- Identify and map P&L drivers and associated risks (commodity, credit, KYC & AML) in the activities (gas and power)
- Collaborate in the roll-out of ETRM systems (Aligne and GEMStone/BeeStone suite)
- Ensure Middle Office activities to identify and justify P&L moves (forward and realized)
- Coordinate the preparation of S&EM Risk Committees, contribute to Local Mexico Commodity Risk Management Committees, and to S&EM Supply Risk Committee and Energy Management Risk Committee
Lead S&EM Finance team
- Lead and manage the Finance & Risk team, fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Manage 2 FP&A profiles and a trading accounting expert
- Ensure strict compliance with HSSE Group guidelines to prioritize safety and sustainability.
Requirements:
Education and experience:
- Academic requirement: A pertinent university degree (Master of Finance, Accounting and/or controlling. MBA is a plus).
- Years of experience: 10+ years in a Finance position
- Technical Skills:
- Experience in IFRS/Accounting and Controlling
- Knowledge of natural gas and electricity markets in Mexico and USA
- Experience in Energy Risk Management / Control activities
- Advanced understanding of key Risks metrics (V@R, E@R, CVaR, Drawdown …) and portfolio management concepts
- Experience in B2B Supply and Commodity trading activities.
- Microsoft office advanced skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Languages:
Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
