What You Can Expect
As our Project Management Advisor (PM), you will be responsible for the overall management of the design, construction, and commissioning of distributed-scale solar and energy storage projects. In this role, you will oversee construction and commissioning work performed by subcontractors and collaborate with our internal Technical Services, Development, Procurement, Operations, Asset Management, and Finance Departments, as well as our 3rd Party Owner’s Engineer(s) and other consultants to ensure the project's successful design and execution. Additionally, you should have a background in managing large, complex construction projects. This position is based in Chicago, IL, and reports to the Director of Project Delivery, Engineering & Delivery.
- Oversee and advance projects from construction through Project Closeout to handover to O&M/Asset Management, managing multiple construction and pre-construction projects simultaneously
- Conduct weekly meetings for design reviews, coordination with local utility operators, site coordination, and project updates, while tracking contractual requirements and deliverables for all project contracts
- Manage construction contracts, invoices, change order requests, submittals, and RFIs, and assist with bid evaluation, contract negotiations, and contract execution
- Support project financing activities, including preparing responses to technical and construction-focused questions from the investor’s Independent Engineers, and managing project schedules and updates
- Develop and implement inspection, testing, and commissioning plans, coordinating and facilitating communications with all internal and external project stakeholders
What You’ll Bring

You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- A minimum of seven (7) years working experience in construction management of large, complex projects, including training and/or certifications
- A minimum of 3 years of project management experience, constructing solar or BESS projects or related field
- You have excellent oral and written communication skills
- You are proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- You hold comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and sequencing
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
- Must be available to travel domestically up to 50% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record, use of company vehicle, ability to drive to site locations
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $112,000 – $165,000 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
