What You Can Expect

As our Manager of Market Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in advancing ENGIE’s Distributed Solar and Storage (DSS) projects. Your main focus will be on developing and maintaining revenue forecasts for DSS projects, supporting market strategy, and enabling new market entry. You will collaborate closely with ENGIE’s project finance team to ensure accurate project modeling. This role requires a solid understanding of US wholesale power markets and utility distribution tariffs and rate planning. Your strong analytical skills, coupled with a strategic mindset, will be instrumental in supporting various projects and markets across the US. You must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. This role can be based in Chicago, IL (preferred), Houston, TX, or  in Oakland, CA and reports to the Director of Business Development

 

  • Develop and maintain retail power price forecasts for a several key DSS strategic markets across the US using internal and external sources of data
  • Provide revenue inputs to project finance models for community solar and other tariff-based distributed solar programs
  • Describe project and/or portfolio revenue mechanisms in Investment Committee memos, including written (narrative) and visual (graphical) elements
  • Support the Business Development team on transactions, process development, and process management
  • Support Policy and Market Strategy team on new market entry strategies and competitiveness evaluations
  • Understand best practice solar and energy storage programs and revenue models in leading states

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, Economics or related fields
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant business consulting, project development, analytics, or related field where you gained experience in renewable energy or the competitive retail business
  • You are detail-oriented with a strong sense of conscientiousness
  • You have proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; CRM tools with the ability to manipulate and analyze data effectively
  • You hold excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of simplifying complex topics for executive audiences
  • You are familiar with financial models and basic financial principles
  • You possess self-motivation and are a team player with a general understanding of renewable energy and battery storage market trends

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $128,400 – $196,765  USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
