What You Can Expect
As a Sales Intern, you will work at the intersection of strategy and execution—translating business plans into action. You’ll collaborate with teams across product, sales, engineering, operations, and customer experience to help build ENGIE’s pipeline in North America. In this role, you will be a key member of ENGIE North America’s Distributed Solar and Storage division, serving commercial, industrial, and utility customers across the U.S. and supporting them in achieving their renewable energy goals. This is an exciting time to work in the energy sector, with rapid progress and significant changes underway. Customers are setting ambitious goals to increase renewable energy use and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, driven by growing pressure to address climate change.
This internship opportunity is based in Chicago, IL, and runs for three months, from January 2025 to May 2025. You will report to the Senior Origination Analyst.
- Support sales campaigns by collaborating with technical experts and contractors to create case studies, tariff analyses, and other technical materials for new customers and prospects
- Generate leadership reports using Salesforce and other tools, providing insights into ongoing sales efforts and pipeline activity
- Prospect new leads through various platforms such as Sales Genie and Google Earth, identifying potential customers and opportunities
- Analyze customer utility bills and conduct desktop site assessments using tools like Energy Toolbase, Helioscope, Pivot, and Plant Predict to inform sales strategies
What You’ll Bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or masters degree, in Business, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or similar fields. Scheduled to graduate May 2025
- Passionate about renewable energy and sustainability, with a strong interest in pursuing a career in solar or renewable energy
- Excellent written communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail
- Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite
Additional Details
- Interns must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the intern semester
- This role requires attendance at a worksite on a three times per week basis and the possibility of some remote work
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Hourly Range: $21.00-$34.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
