Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the Operations & Maintenance of the Tarfaya Wind Farm, ensuring high performance, safety, reliability, and profitability of the asset, while meeting contractual, regulatory, and HSE requirements.
The O&M Director of Tarfaya Wind Farm reports hierarchically to the CEO of TAREC and functionally (matrix reporting) to the Head of Renewables & Batteries (R&B) Morocco.
1. Operations & Maintenance:
- Lead the end-to-end Operations & Maintenance activities of the Tarfaya site, ensuring high standards of availability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Manage warranties, spare parts, and long-term service agreements.
- Secure the delivery of energy production in line with contractual commitments (notably PPA obligations) and business targets.
- Define and deploy optimized maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, and corrective) to sustain asset performance and extend lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement and best-in-class asset management practices, leveraging operational data and industry benchmarks.
- Oversee daily operations of site facilities including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and general building services.
2. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Champion a strong safety culture with zero harm ambition.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations and ENGIE/global HSE standards, including but not limited to electrical safety, working at heights, and lock-out/tag-out (Safe System of Work) procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident reviews.
- Lead crisis and emergency response management.
3. Financial & Performance Management
- Manage site P&L performance (OPEX, CAPEX, cost optimization).
- Monitor KPIs: availability, load factor, downtime, MTBF, MTTR.
- Identify and implement efficiency and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
4. Asset Performance Optimization
- Drive continuous improvement programs to maximize energy output and asset lifecycle.
- Leverage data analytics and digital tools to enhance performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on upgrades, retrofits, and innovation initiatives.
5. Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong relationships with:
- Government and regulatory bodies.
- Local authorities and communities.
- Partners, investors, and offtakers.
- Represent the company at local and national levels when required.
- Manage and evaluate performance of service providers, contractors, and suppliers. Prepare scopes of work, review technical proposals, and oversee contract execution.
6. Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary team.
- Promote a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Ensure workforce capability matches technical and operational needs.
- Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
7. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with Moroccan regulations, Environmental standards and Corporate governance policies.
- Oversee audits and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
8. Project & Interface Management
- Manage interfaces between operations, maintenance, and external contractors.
- Ensure seamless transition from project phase to operations.

Education and experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in power generation, renewable energy, or industrial operations.
- Extensive experience managing large-scale assets, including wind, solar, thermal, or hybrid facilities.
- Demonstrated track record in overseeing complex operations or multi-site environments.
- Strong leadership capability with proven experience in managing multidisciplinary and diverse teams.
