Carpenter
AE
JOB PURPOSE:
Maintenance of all CIVIL related assets such as doors, carpentry, walls, ceilings, locks, etc
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Executing Technical Rounds and reporting any technical issues.
- Ensure preventive maintenance tasks are performed properly as per the job plan, standard operating procedures and any O&M manual recommendations.
- Ensure to master all aspects of the system and assets under his responsibility.
- Guide G2 & G3 level technicians and ensure proper procedures are followed at all times.
- Constructs, repairs, restores and installs structures such as floors, doors, walls, windows, stairways, furniture, cabinets, shelves, roofs, etc..
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Maintain doors, windows, furniture and other items. verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level;
- Maintain & painting of building interiors and exteriors. Monitor and replace weather stripping;
- Inspect ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures;
- Installs and repairs locks, knobs, hinges, closures, and other fixtures to structures;
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge;
Authority
- Authorized to execute works within the common areas as assigned by the team leader or department head against a work order.
- Authorized to request/collect material from stores for the execution of works against a work order.
- Authorized to enter plant rooms and areas that are not restricted by client & within the scope of CBFM.
- Not authorized to liaise with client staff.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Skill to shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power.
- Able to study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
- Ability to assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
- Ability to build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, and power tools.
- Knowledge of cabinet-making techniques.
- Hands on skills in problem diagnosis. Experience in asset condition verification.
- Ability to handle and face customers /end-users.
- Skills in the construction, repair, restoration, and installation of wood or related materials
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in CIVIL equipment Fit Out & Maintenance in GCC
- Should have good communication skills
