Your mission
- Tractebel is primarily an Owner’s Engineer, who provides technical, design, project management and problem solving support to its Clients. The Project Managers in our team work closely with Project Engineers, Design Engineers and Installation/Construction/Maintenance/Inspection Contractors to co-ordinate engineering efforts and solve problems. Generally they ensure that projects and problem solving happens within budget and on schedule, at the appropriate level of Quality and Safety.

- Managing Quality, Cost and Time
- Client interface
- Tender development
- Managing the project financials including Invoicing, claims and ensuring profitability.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate engineering project delivery across internal teams and external partners or subcontractors.
- Translate client requirements into actionable project scopes and work packages.
- Develop project schedules and take into account the requirements of meeting the key contractual dates
- Monitor progress against schedules, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Facilitate design reviews and ensure integration of technical input across disciplines
- Track budgets & control costs to ensure profitability.
- Ensure contractual compliance against the agreed contract with Client.
We would love to hear from people with
- BSc (elec,,elctro-mech, or civil). BTech qualifications will also be considered.
- Candidates who are registered with ECSA and/or SACPCMP will have preference.
- Engineering experience who wish to, or have transitioned into Project Management
- 5 years of relevant experience in engineering environments such as:
- Experience in engineering and/or technical project delivery.
- Experience in power generation or energy infrastructure projects (Nuclear, Renewable, Gas-to-power experience preferred
- Proven success at managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex deliverables.
- Minimum of 2 years involved in projects with a Quality-Cost-Time focus

- A Project Manager who can also fulfil the role of Project Engineer
- Versatile, with a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn within and across domains.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and in teams.
- Resilient and proactive in fast-paced, dynamic project environments.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Familiarity with contract execution, cost control, and stakeholder coordination.
- Understanding of quality management systems and processes
- Self-driven and self-disciplined.
- Innovative within the bounds of engineering and organisational rules, is encouraged.
- Values and implements leadership skills
- Willing to travel occasionally for short-term assignments (international travel possible when the need arises).
