Context:

E&C (Entreprises et Collectivités) is the commercial entity within GEMS providing energy supply (Gaz and power) for the French B2B market. The GREC team is in charge of managing the positions and the risks of E&C portfolio. The team is belonging both to E&C and the business platform “Downstream” which ensures the coherency (in terms of tools and methodologies) of the management of the supply portfolios for France, Belgium and Netherlands.

 

Role:

The main role of the portfolio manager in the GREC team is :

  • the Daily Management of the portfolio: booking of the contracts, hedging and pnl analysis.

 

In addition, other missions are expected :

  • Elaboration of macro hedging strategies (volume risk, reforecast of customer consumptions, …) and valuation of costing bricks
  • Participation in the enhancement of IS system (prioritization of new functionalities, specifications, tests, follow up of projects…)
  • Work on automation of operational processes

 

Hard skills:

  • Must have: ability to do mathematical and statistical analysis, ability to manipulate data, programming (VBA, Python, SQL)
  • Good to have: knowledge of financial products, knowledge of energy markets

Soft skills:

  • Must have: rigorous, reactive, team spirit,
  • Good to have: good communication skills, work in autonomy

Education and professional background:

  • Education : strong academical background (master’s degree : engineer or business school)
  • Experience : from 0 to 2 years

 

Languages:

  • Fluent French and English

Travels:

The position is located in Paris La défense. Some travels in Lyon or Brussels could be asked.
