Context:
The team plays a key role within the CTM / IS FINOPS Delivery Center. It is responsible for the development and the maintenance of the XRoad application which handles the invoicing and closing functions for GEMS.
CTM (Contract and Transaction Management) Solutions covers IS landscape and IS Teams managing the financial and physical engagements taken by GEM, such as PPA, Power Asset, Gas Asset, Long Term Contract, Full Supply Contract, Biomass, LNG, OTC Exotic and Vanilla, Market Operations etc… it covers all activities of Booking & Post Trade (OT, Meteor and ETRM) linked to Expertise Centres (Risk, Finance and Operations). This scope covers as well the follow up of the Feature teams dedicated to Gas, Supply and Trading, Trading Power & SNO, Biomass, LNG and Downstream.
It evolves currently in the context of a migration from its legacy IS (“Meteor and Sungard Zynet”) to the target one (“GEMStone” based on Orchestrade solution).
CTM teams (~290 people between Paris and Brussels) are responsible for:
- The maintenance and evolution of deal management functions (external platform feeding, product modelling, trade-life-cycle management, physical position management) on both trading IS.
- The maintenance and evolution of Risk and Pnl functions : Pricing of the books managed by GEM trading and computation of the Risk figures (including VaR and Credit Risk), Reporting tools (based on ActivePivot).
- The maintenance and evolution of Back Office and finance IS functions: Confirmation generations, Trade Reporting, Invoicing…
- Teams aligned with the business platform on various perimeter developing specific solutions and maintaining the existing systems.
Role:
Main activities and responsibilities:
- Management of the team (Between 10 to 20 people, permanents and contractors).
- Define the role and responsibilities within the team.
- Identification of the key people, build succession and backup plans.
- Coordination and management of the relationship with the users and the other IT teams.
- Budget Management and follow-up.
- Project management: define suitable project organization, communication, functional and technical architecture proposal.
Hard skills:
- Must have:
- Proven development skills at Tech Lead level on:
- Java
- React JS
- SQL Server
- Cloud (Azure)
- Good knowledge of financial derivative products (life cycle), ideally for commodities or energy products.
- Application Lifecycle Management
- Good knowledge on technical and applicative architecture.
- Good knowledge on back-office functions
- Proven development skills at Tech Lead level on:

Education and professional background:
- Master’s degree in engineering with a proven specialty in IT or equivalent.
- Over 10 years’ experience.
- Previous experience (over 3 years) in the management of IT teams.
- Good to have: previous experience in development and management of Back-Office functions in a Deal and Risk Management system
Languages:
- English as a working language (mandatory)
- French (mandatory)
Travels:
Occasional travels to Brussels and possibly Singapore are expected.
