Context:

Role : 

The Business Developer H2 will be responsible for :

  • Prospecting, identifying opportunities of purchase of physical hydrogen across North Western Europe

  • Developing new hydrogen purchase and sales solutions that will address the needs of GEMS upstream and downstream clients in coordination with other members of the GEMS Hydrogen cluster

  • Communicating/Training of GEMS sales teams in these solutions

  • Participating to commercial and contractual negotiations with counterparts Obtain all necessary mandates and approval to validate processes internally Participating to actions and tenders

  • Pricing hydrogen or our upstream and downstream clients, coordinating drafting of contracts and liaising with legal, IT, risks, trading for a correct implementation

 

Main Activities :

  • In coordination with GEMS sales teams, Prospecting, identifying opportunities of sale of physical hydrogen across North Western Europe

  • Participate actively in the GEMS Hydrogen cluster

  • Being proactive in understanding countries’ regulations, e.g. on low carbon and renewable hydrogen, EU ETS, certificates, etc.

  • Supporting all other internal streams to ensure front-to-back processes and other necessary actions are in place

 

 

Education & professional background :

University degree in Business or Engineering 5-15 years in the industrial gas sector (Hydrogen)

 

Hard skills

Strong knowledge of the Hydrogen business for industrial clients Negotiation skills : min 3 years as business developer or in a commercial role

A strong network client portfolio will be a genuine advantage.

 

Soft skills

Excellent communicator in written and verbal form

Practical thinking, Creativity, taking initiative Autonomous,

Working together and active listening   

Working transversally with colleagues being spread all over Europe and in different entities of Engie

Able to work under time pressure during peak periods

 

Fluent in written and spoken French and English

Regular travels in North Western Europe
