The department that handles all the IT, Digital and Data requirements for GEMS (Global Energy Management & Sales) is called EC IS (Expertise Center Information Systems). It consists of different delivery, Data and digital teams, Management Office, infrastructure and Cybersecurity and architecture.


The Head of IS for Gas Cluster within GEMS IS is responsible for overseeing and managing the IS Delivery centers that support the Gas business, including Gas Delivery and Physical, Feature Team Gas Trading, and the team working for LNG and biomass. This role involves working closely with the business to understand their needs and ensuring that the IS Delivery centers are delivering the required services and solutions.


The role will be attached to the GEMS CIO.


The Head of IS for Gas cluster is in charge of:

  • Oversee and manage the IS Delivery centers that support the Gas business.
  • Work closely with the business to understand their needs and ensure that the IS Delivery centers are delivering the required services and solutions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the IS Delivery centers.
  • Ensure that the IS Delivery centers are adhering to the organization’s standards and policies.
  • Manage the budget for the IS Delivery centers and ensure that resources are being used effectively.
  • Collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure that the IS Delivery centers are aligned with the overall goals of the organization.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the IS Delivery center teams and ensure that they are motivated and engaged.

Hard skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Proven experience in managing IS Delivery teams.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IS delivery teams.
  • Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively.

Soft skills:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Excellent leadership skills to guide the team effectively, foster a collaborative environment, and manage conflicts.
  • Decision-Making Ability: They should have the ability to make quick, informed decisions under high-pressure situations.

Languages: French and English
