Role Overview
As part of the Business Platform Gas Assets & Developments Europe (BP GASDEVE), this position focuses on Renewable and Low-Carbon Business Development activities such as biomethane, bio-LNG, hydrogen, and carbon capture & storage. Reporting to the Paris Head of Europe AML/KYC, the Analyst will ensure compliance with KYC/AML and ethics policies, supporting onboarding, reviews, and transversal tasks.
Key Responsibilities
As an Analyst – KYC/AML and Ethics, your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with ENGIE’s regulatory and ethical standards. You will conduct thorough KYC/AML and ethics analyses to support onboarding and review processes, ensuring that counterparties meet all regulatory and internal requirements. Collaborating closely with the legal department, you will also provide tailored clauses for specific deals to mitigate potential risks.
In addition to compliance tasks, you will actively contribute to the deployment and optimization of GEMS KYC tools and processes. This includes delivering training sessions to build expertise within the team and implementing best practices across all activities. You will manage transversal tasks such as monitoring sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), and adverse media alerts, providing actionable recommendations to safeguard ENGIE’s operations and reputation.
Your role will also involve supporting the development of new business activities by offering compliance insights and urgent approvals for trading operations, ensuring alignment with internal policies. Furthermore, you will produce detailed reports and analyses to inform decision-making, highlighting risks and opportunities for improvement. Through these contributions, you will play a critical role in strengthening ENGIE’s compliance framework and supporting its business objectives.
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a KYC/AML risk position, preferably in trading or CIB banking.
Skills and Knowledge
- Expertise in KYC processes, sanctions, PEP, and reputation risk analysis.
- Familiarity with commodity transactions and related risks is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and French (written and oral). Other languages are a bonus.
