What You Can Expect

As our Power Marketing Senior Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting ENGIE’s project marketing efforts to secure long-term offtake agreements for our wind, solar, and energy storage development portfolio. Your responsibilities will include originating new business opportunities across the United States and Canada, effectively communicating ENGIE’s capabilities and product offerings, structuring and proposing renewable energy transactions, and cultivating both new and existing customer relationships. In addition to your commercial responsibilities, you will contribute significantly to analytical initiatives within the Structured Origination team. This includes identifying and capturing value through innovative contract structures and risk mitigation strategies, in close collaboration with ENGIE’s risk management and energy trading teams.

 

This position is an excellent growth opportunity for a motivated self-starter seeking to advance their career in the energy industry and contribute to ENGIE’s renewable energy goals and growth strategy in North America. The role may be based in Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; or other approved remote locations, and reports to the Vice President of Power Marketing – Renewables.

 

  • Analyze wholesale electricity markets and evaluate new potential hedging opportunities, balancing a quantitative approach to evaluating risk with strong communication skills to explain complex hedging concepts concisely to stakeholders from various disciplines (project development, operations, engineering, strategic management
  • Help identify national industry trends impacting the future of renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to customers
  • Collaborate and coordinate with ENGIE’s project support teams from development, construction, operations and maintenance, procurement, finance, accounting, energy trading and transmission analysis team

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or Engineering where you gained a strong foundation in analytical thinking, quantitative analysis, and problem-solving skills essential for evaluating markets, structuring deals, and making data-informed decisions
  • A minimum of  ten (10) years energy experience, with a strong analytical focus
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong technical writing and presentation skills
  • You have solid commercial acumen paired with strong analytical and/or technical capabilities
  • You are adaptable and energetic, able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • You are knowledgeable in effective time management and demonstrate consistent, reliable attendance as a self-starter
  • You have the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy three (3) days in office
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policy

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $131,000 – $200,790 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. 

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
