We are currently looking for person with good analytical skills to join our MARKET DESIGN & OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE  team as COMMERCIAL LEGAL COUNSEL.

What you will do:

  • You will be responsible for advising, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating:
    • Standard and customized energy contracts and tenders related to: Electricity (green and conventional PPA offers), Natural Gas, Energy Services;
    • Trading contracts (local standard contracts or EFET) for various products and their derivatives (electricity, gas, emission certificates, guarantees of origin);
    • Pre-trading and trading documents, such as: presentations, marketing materials, confidentiality agreements, term sheets, etc.;
    • Credit management documentation (e.g.: netting agreements, credit support annexes, letters of credit and guarantees) and any ancillary agreements;
    • Contracts with energy market participants, such as: transmission system operators, brokers, trading platforms, exchanges;
    • Intragroup contracts between different ENGIE Romania companies and business units.
  • You will provide support and legal assistance for the development of effective corporate governance for the business platform in Romania.
  • You will coordinate regulations and other due diligence, provide advice on credit events, legal opinions, and other relevant topics for Energy Management contracts and services.
  • You will manage regulatory and legal developments related to energy products, conduct trainings on relevant topics for colleagues within Energy Management, and participate in forums and roundtables in the field.
  • You will develop practical notes and contribute to the formulation of policies and guidelines.
  • You will ensure compliance with ENGIE policies and processes, and ensure legal conformity.
  • You will collaborate with external advisors whom you will instruct.
  • You will collaborate with legal advisors within ENGIE.

 

Desired education, expertise, and skills:

  • Completed higher education in Law, holding a Bachelor's degree;
  • Between 3 and 8 years of experience in similar roles (legal advisor in an energy company or lawyer in a law firm);
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office;
  • Advanced English language skills;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities;
  • Proactive attitude
