The production AWS expert plays a critical role in ensuring advanced mastery of cloud services, with strong responsibility for infrastructure availability and security management. This role focuses on the operation and deployment of individual components such as virtual machines and PaaS services, ensuring seamless and reliable delivery.
With sufficient expertise to oversee third-party implementations, the AWS expert guarantees the quality of all deliverables. They also provide essential support to various Engie entities during go-to-run processes and act as a key contributor to Business Unit satisfaction, especially when service providers fail or do not meet SLA requirements.

What you will do:
- Manage the cloud servers and the associated tooling
- Install/deploy and administrate the IaaS and PaaS services in collaboration with our Cloud Partners
- Maintain in operational condition the infrastructure, especially through the Engie standards
- Level 1 to 3 operational maintenance on Cloud environments, Windows Servers, Linux Servers
- Write and/or update documentation of all solutions (DEX, architectures files etc.) and incidents (REX, root cause analysis…)
- Design and implement scalable Cloud solutions: development of robust, scalable infrastructures to meet business needs
- Help set up automation and continuous integration/deployment processes.
- Use tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible or Jenkins to automate infrastructure deployment and management
- Maintain security compliance according to Engie Group security policies
- Always guarantee the availability of the infrastructure.
- Advise and assist entities/BUs in their Cloud-related activities, while sharing in-depth expertise
- Contribute to the safety, cost optimization, performance and availability of the platforms.
- Manage, monitor and operate existing infrastructures, identify and resolve technical problems
- Write technical and operating documentation
Desired education, expertise, and skills:
- 2 – 4 years of experience - good understanding of the fundamentals of AWS services is required, including S3, EC2, Lambda, IAM, RDS, and VPC.
- A first exposure to container orchestration on AWS (ECS, EKS)
- Tooling DevOps : Docker, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, Cloud Formation, JIRA...
- Backup tooling : Veeam
- Serverless architecture : Web/microservices conteners, API rest
- Code and tools : Python, API Gateway
- Databases : PostgreSQL, MariaDB,
- Supervision tools : Grafana, CloudWatch
- Documentation update : MS Office (word, ppt, visio…), drawio…
- Processes: strong knowledge and experience in the use of production processes, traceability and auditability of interventions and actions carried out.
- Certification : AWS Solution architect associate (Mandatory)
- Certification : AWS SysOps administrator associate (nice to have)
- Fluency in English : B2 (spoken and written)
- Fluency in French or German: B2 (spoken and written)
- ITSM tooling : Service Now
- Network skills : DNS, security group
Other information:
- Interventions during non-working hours: On-call duty and intervention during non-working hours are mandatory.
- Service hours: fixed hours of presence to maintain a service slot (9am to 6pm – Paris time).
