To strengthen the Corporate Nuclear Safety organization, we are currently seeking a Nuclear Safety Advisor.
The challenges facing the Independent Nuclear Safety Organization (INSO) are extremely diverse and challenging. On the one hand, there is the involvement in various operational processes and projects that continues, on the other hand, the active involvement in the decommissioning program that brings new and specific challenges.
This makes the job description of a Nuclear Safety Advisor diverse and ensures that there is regular contact with the different parts of the operational organization as well as with the safety authority (Bel V and FANC).
The INSO mission entrusted from ENGIE offers the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of performance towards nuclear safety and radiation protection for the various engineering and service entities within the ENGIE group that carry out activities in the nuclear sector.
Your task

Challenge of operational activities as a member of the Independent Nuclear Safety Organization

Disseminating the knowledge of INSO Activities and Radiation Protection within the team and advising the operational organization

Conducting reviews within BU NUC on varied topics

Take on the role of INSO single point of contact for a domain within the NGMS

Developing the role of independent nuclear safety oversight (INSO) at ENGIE level taking into account the changes in the organization of the service companies in France and Belgium

Carrying out INSO CORP ENGIE activities within the Group's service companies:- supporting the NUclear Safety OFficers (NUSOFs)
Your profile

You are a civil or industrial engineer or have equivalent knowledge gained through experience

Recent experience (min 5 years) in a (preferably operational) engineering position at a nuclear site is a significant asset.
A thorough knowledge of the operational and decomissioning context and processes is an asset -
You are fascinated by nuclear safety and/or radiation protection

Having or having had an operating license is an added benefit

You are a team player and enjoy working within a team

You are flexible, and you can make your own interpretation of the global assignments assigned to you
-
You can think conceptually but are also a pragmatist in seeking solutions to identified problems

You have good interpersonal and communication skills

you have a good knowledge of English, Dutch and French or are willing to learn these languages quickly
