As Wind expert in our Renewables and BESS team, you will contribute to our mission every day by strengthening Tractebel’s expertise in wind modelling and supporting the delivery of high‑quality renewable energy projects. You will work within a multi‑technology team active in onshore & offshore wind, solar PV and BESS, and play a key role in delivering robust analyses that help accelerate the energy transition.

Your key responsibilities

• You lead wind resource assessments and energy yield analyses for onshore wind projects;
• You perform advanced modelling including CFD simulations for complex flow and micrositing;
• You process and analyze measurement data (LiDAR, masts, SCADA) and assess uncertainties;
• You contribute to multi‑technology projects (PV, BESS, hybrid systems) where wind expertise is required;
• You provide technical leadership, reporting, and quality assurance on wind‑related deliverables;
• You take on project management responsibilities (planning, coordination, client interaction);
• You support knowledge development and mentor junior team members in wind assessment methodologies.

Your profile

• You have a Master’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or equivalent experience;
• You have 8+ years of relevant experience in wind resource assessment and energy yield analysis;
• You have strong expertise in CFD modelling applied to wind flow analysis, experience in offshore wind is an asset;
• You have proficiency with tools such as WindPRO, WAsP, WindFarmer/OpenWind, OpenFOAM;
• You have proficiency in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is an advantage;
• You are proactive and structured in managing tasks and project timelines;
• You have strong communication skills, both written and spoken;
• You are comfortable interacting with clients and presenting technical results;
• You are willing to take on project management responsibilities when required.
