ENGIE Generation Europe is looking for a Security Manager (M/F/X) to join the GEN BE Support Team. In this new pivotal role, you will be responsible for safeguarding ENGIE’s critical energy infrastructure and leading the implementation of robust physical and information security across sites in Belgium.

You will act as the key advisor and coordinator for all security-related topics, reporting to the GEN BE Support management and working closely with local site teams, contractors, and central control functions. This role offers a rare opportunity to combine strategy with field execution in a high-impact, future-facing energy environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Security Manager

• Provide expert guidance: advise site managers on all security matters and support the rollout of new projects and upgrades.
• Monitor performance: track key security indicators and ensure that action plans are effectively implemented.
• Ensure compliance, align security operations with EU legislation, national laws, and internal ENGIE policies.
• Develop strong procedures: reate and maintain practical tools for risk analysis, incident response, and security planning.
• Manage security systems: oversee access control, surveillance, alarm systems, and emergency protocols across sites.
• Coordinate across sites: act as the main contact for the Brussels Control Center to ensure consistent security coordination.
• Lead crisis readiness: organize and manage emergency responses, ensuring all teams are fully prepared.

YOUR PROFILE as Security Manager

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant domain (e.g. security, law enforcement, military, HSE) or equivalent by experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a security-focused role, with strong affinity for operational and policy aspects.
• Proven skills in drafting and implementing security procedures.
• Technically proficient in managing access systems, surveillance equipment, and security infrastructure.
• Capable of managing complex situations and coordinating with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong communicator, fluent in Dutch or French, with working knowledge of the other language and English.
• Willing to travel regularly across ENGIE Generation BE and co-located R&D sites in Belgium (including Coo).
