ENGIE is accelerating the deployment of public electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Belgium. Following the successful rollout of approximately 3500 public charging points in Flanders, ENGIE has been awarded new public concessions for the deployment of AC charging stations in Brussels and Wallonia.

For the Local Energy Infrastructures and the Engie Vianeo team Belgium, located in Brussels , we are currently looking for  a Project Manager - EV Charging  Deployment  (M/F/X) to support the rollout of approximately 850 charging stations in Brussels and 1750 charging stations in Wallonia.

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES  as Project Manager  - EV Charging Deployment 

 

As Project Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the public AC charging station rollout in Brussels and Wallonia.

You ensure that deployment activities are executed safely, efficiently, on time and in line with project requirements, quality standards and agreed ways of working :

  • Coordinate the day-to-day execution of the rollout together with subcontractors, municipalities, grid operators and internal ENGIE teams.
  • Act as the main operational point of contact for stakeholders and handle questions, issues and follow-up actions by email, phone, remote and in-person meetings.
  • Organize and lead coordination meetings with subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
  • Follow up planning, execution and progress of the installation works to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor compliance with Health & Safety rules and ensure ENGIE safety standards are respected on site.
  • Perform site visits to verify the quality, completeness and conformity of the works carried out.
  • Detect operational, technical or planning issues, drive their resolution and escalate when needed.
  • Prepare and follow up reporting on project progress.
  • Follow up orders and stock of charging stations and related equipment to support smooth deployment.
  • Ensure that project tools and systems, such as EV tools and SiteTracker, are correctly used by the different stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a structured, efficient and solution-oriented rollout process. 

 

Your work location is Brussels and you report to the Head of Project Management Low Carbon Mobility.

 

YOUR PROFILE * as  Project Manager  -  EV Charging Deployment 

 

  • You have experience in project management, site coordination, operational follow-up, or technical deployment projects, ideally in infrastructure, energy, mobility, utilities, or public works.
  • You are comfortable working in a multi-stakeholder environment involving public sector, grid operators, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • You combine strong coordination skills with a hands-on, structured approach, know how to manage shifting priorities  and drive issues through to resolution.
  • You are familiar with reporting tools, project tracking systems, and digital ways of working.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing, in French, Dutch, and English.
  • You have an interest in, experience with, or affinity for understanding technical content.
  • You are willing to travel regularly for site visits and stakeholder meetings in Brussels and Wallonia.
