Do you enjoy combining quantitative analysis, business partnering and market intelligence to support strategic decision-making?

Would you like to contribute to the growth of renewable assets and battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Europe?

Then this job is for YOU.

For the Risk Expertise Center within ENGIE Supply & Energy Management, we are currently looking for a Market Risk Green Power (F/M/X) based in Brussels.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Market Risk Green Power

As a Market Risk Green Power, you will support the management and monitoring of market risks associated with renewable generation assets, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across Central Western Europe.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Challenge hedging and risk management strategies proposed by Front Office teams to ensure an optimal balance between risk and return.
  • Assess the risk profile and profitability of complex transactions and investment opportunities requiring governance approval.
  • Support ENGIE's Renewable Business Unit in the monitoring and calibration of market risk frameworks across European markets.
  • Control market data, valuation parameters and risk metrics used for Green PPAs, BESS assets and related portfolios.
  • Contribute to the development, automation and continuous improvement of market risk tools, reporting solutions and analytical processes.

YOUR PROFILE as Market Risk Green Power

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or another quantitative discipline.
  • Ideally 1 to 3 years of experience in energy, finance, risk management, data analytics or another relevant quantitative field.
  • Knowledge of energy markets and a strong interest in renewable generation, battery storage and risk management.
  • Proficiency in Python or a strong willingness to rapidly develop programming and automation skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
  • Proactive and collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and fluency in English.

WHY JOIN THIS TEAM?

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in one of the fastest-growing segments of the energy industry.

You will:

  • Build a strong understanding of renewable energy markets, PPAs and battery storage economics.
  • Gain exposure to both asset-owner and trading-related risk management activities.
  • Work on intellectually challenging topics with direct business impact.
  • Enjoy a mix of operational risk monitoring and development projects.
  • Benefit from a high level of autonomy and visibility.
  • Join a dynamic, innovative and collaborative team at the heart of ENGIE's energy transition strategy.
