YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as BESS Engineer (M/F/X)

As a BESS Engineer, reporting to the Head of Projects & Engineering – Renewables & Batteries you will be the technical backbone of our battery storage initiatives. You will:

  • Support the engineering and design of BESS projects from feasibility to commissioning.
  • Ensure optimal system performance, safety, and integration with grid infrastructure.
  • Develop technical specifications and support procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (BD, PM, O&M, HSE) and external stakeholders (suppliers, contractors, OE).
  • Provide technical leadership during supplier evaluations and contract negotiations.
  • Capture lessons learned and continuously improve our engineering practices.

 

YOUR PROFILE as BESS Engineer (M/F/X)

  • Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2–5 years in the energy sector, with hands-on experience in BESS design and construction.
  • Strong understanding of battery technologies, grid integration and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
  • Resilience under pressure and a proactive mindset.
  • Fluent in English and French or Dutch. Working knowledge of all three is a strong asset.
