THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT

You will join a recently created TRACTEBEL entity with very ambitious goals and exceptional projects. Created to support projects localised in the UK, the entity’s mission is to promote TRACTEBEL as a key player of the nuclear business in the UK market.

You will be part of a dynamic, highly motivated and multicultural team based around the UK, with a Head office in Bristol. This position is a great opportunity for you to develop your professional and personal skills and work on globally recognised projects.

Your ROLE

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing nuclear projects through the lifecycle, from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and executing project plans, including scope, schedule, cost, risk management, and communication plans.
• Leading project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Ensuring compliance with nuclear industry regulations, standards, and safety requirements.
• Communicating project status and issues to stakeholders, including project team members, clients, and senior management.
• Contract management (Claims and variations).
• Lead and support the preparation of offers and bids.

Your profile

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Master’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within the British nuclear industry.
• Experience on managing multidisciplinary projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of the UK nuclear industry, including its stakeholders, key competitors, clients, and regulations, and be able to leverage this knowledge to drive project success.
• Strong engineering and technical skills in your field of engineering, demonstrated by a minimum of 5 years of proven experience. This includes a deep understanding of engineering principles, technical proficiency in practical applications, specialized knowledge in your specific field of engineering.
• A commitment to continuous learning to stay updated with new technologies and methodologies, and hands-on project experience, particularly within the UK nuclear industry.
• Knowledge of UK nuclear industry regulations and standards.
• Experience with project management methodologies, such as ²PMBOK or PRINCE2.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
• Experience in tender management and bid preparation.
