Within the Digital Workplace division, the SmartDesk department oversees IT support (remote helpdesk) operations across multiple countries, delivering standardized and industrialized services to over 55,000 users through an internationally scaled outsourcing contract.

As an Incident / Problem Manager, you will coordinate incident resolution, address recurring problems, manage major incidents, and accelerate AI-driven industrialization. ITIL, ServiceNow, and strong service orientation required.

 

What you will do:

As our new Project Manager for VAT Tax Accounting, you'll play a crucial role in driving our global finance transformation, specifically in the area of tax compliance. Your expertise will help us standardize and optimize indirect tax processes, paving the way for a more efficient and innovative future.

 

We Want You

  • Lead initiatives to standardize and optimize VAT controls and processes across ENGIE's business units
  • Design and implement automation solutions for VAT reporting and ERP system integration
  • Develop guidelines for VAT recovery and compliance with local tax authorities
  • Collaborate with finance and tax teams to reduce manual interventions and audit risks
  • Support the deployment of VAT Tax Compliance solutions integrated with ERP systems
  • Ensure accurate data transfer for VAT returns and reporting
  • Validate system configurations against local tax requirements and group standards

 

Desired education, expertise, and skills: 

  • Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance requirements across jurisdictions.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP FI, tax modules) and VAT reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with automation solutions for tax processes.
  • Understanding of reconciliation between ERP VAT transactions and statutory returns.
  • Basis knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is an asset, but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with digital finance tools and transformation projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS office.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies
  • Experience in automation & efficiency initiatives
  • Structured approach to process harmonization and documentation.
  • Ability to bridge operational needs with system requirements.
  • Change management and training facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge of appropriate accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate local needs into actionable input for global project teams.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills to liaise between local users and central project teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and hands-on technical skills.
