As our Record-to-Report (R2R) Manager in Bucharest, you lead a team of professionals and help shape the way ENGIE manages its financial close and reporting across multiple entities. Your work creates real impact — for our stakeholders, our organization, and the energy transition itself.

 

 

- Lead end-to-end R2R operations covering General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Accounting, Intercompany, VAT and Tax, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

- Manage and develop a growing team of 60+ accountants, team leaders, and subject matter experts through coaching, performance management, and succession planning.

- Drive the transition of R2R activities from country organizations into GBS, ensuring business continuity, quality, and control throughout each phase.

- Champion process harmonization, standardization, and automation to improve efficiency, data quality, and close performance across countries.

- Ensure full compliance with IFRS, local accounting standards, ENGIE policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.

- Define and monitor KPIs for close timeliness, accuracy, productivity, and stakeholder satisfaction, and act on performance data decisively.

- Build trusted relationships with Finance, Treasury, Tax, IT, GPO teams, and auditors across multiple countries and cultures.

 

 

- A graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent qualification is a strong advantage.

- At least 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 4 or more years in a leadership role within a GBS or Shared Services environment.

- Proven expertise in end-to-end R2R processes and a solid understanding of IFRS, financial controls, and audit expectations.

- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and strong data-analysis skills; familiarity with automation, RPA, or reconciliation tools is a plus.

- A track record of leading transitions, ramp-ups, or finance transformation programs with measurable results.

- Fluent English and professional proficiency in French, both written and spoken; additional European languages are an advantage.

- A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach, strong stakeholder management skills, and composure under pressure.
