What you will do:

People Service Desk Team Lead plays a pivotal role in managing and delivering first-level HR services within the GBS framework. This position ensures efficient handling of employee queries requests and transactional HR processes across multiple geographies (France / Belgium ). The role requires strong operational oversight, team leadership, and a commitment to service excellence. The role is key in driving the service excellence, self service and automatization for HR Services in Engie

 

Responsibilities:

1. HR Service Delivery

  • Manage Tier 1 HR operations including employee data management, query resolution, and transactional support.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of HR requests in alignment with SLAs and KPIs.
  • Maintain high standards of service quality and employee satisfaction.
  • Distribute the assignments and skills within the team.

2. Employee Satisfaction & Self-Service Support

  • Drive employee satisfaction KPIs related to HR services.
  • Promote and support the use of self-service HR tools.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive HR knowledge base.
  • Drive HR Processes automatization within the MyPortal.

2. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and coach a team of HR associates handling Tier 1 activities.
  • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven team culture.
  • Support onboarding, training, and continuous development of team members.

3. Process & Compliance Management

  • Ensure adherence to global HR policies and local labor regulations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support audits and compliance checks related to HR operations.

4. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the first point of contact for internal customers regarding HR operational queries.
  • Collaborate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 HR teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with business units and HR partners.

5. Reporting & Metrics

  • Monitor and report on service performance, including KPIs and SLAs.
  • Analyze trends and provide insights to improve service delivery.
  • Escalate risks and issues proactively to relevant stakeholders.

 

 

Desired education, expertise, and skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certifications (Lean) are a plus.
  • 3–5 years in HR operations or shared services environment.
  • Experience in managing HR service delivery teams is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and tools (e.g., SAP, ServiceNow HRSD).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in reporting and metrics.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., French) are an asset.
