It currently has 7 Business Support functions: purchasing, consulting, finance, real estate and logistics, legal, human Resources, information systems. Be the driving force behind ENGIE’s robust and efficient Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) processes – ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations, while promoting harmonization, digitalization, and operational excellence across the organization.
You will act as a key player within ENGIE GBS, managing diverse stakeholders, translating complex challenges into actionable insights, and continuously improving the I2P core model.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process Ownership & Governance
- Own and steer the global I2P core model, ensuring it remains efficient, compliant, and aligned with ENGIE’s strategy.
- Recommend the best process, technology, and organizational setup to enhance efficiency and resilience.
- Ensure harmonization and best practice deployment across all entities within ENGIE GBS.
- Act as the main reference point for audits, compliance monitoring, and follow-ups.
2. Process Improvement & Transformation
- Lead initiatives focused on process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Define and maintain metrics and performance indicators, leveraging data insights to drive measurable results.
- Co-lead projects within the I2P perimeter, ensuring timely delivery and strong stakeholder engagement.
- Continuously evaluate and refine the lifecycle of the I2P process and related governance.
3. Stakeholder Management & Community Building
- Act as a trusted advisor to Process Leads, GPOs, and Support Teams, providing expert guidance to reach operational targets.
- Build and lead the I2P community across ENGIE, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices.
- Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, and discussions on harmonization, efficiency, and digital transformation.
4. Change Management
- Understand process pain points and translate them into actionable improvement opportunities.
- Drive adoption of process changes through clear communication, empathy, and structured follow-up.
- Influence and align diverse stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
5. Benchmarking & Innovation
- Stay ahead of industry trends through networking and benchmarking activities.
- Use market insights to strengthen ENGIE’s positioning as a best-in-class organization in I2P.
Required Skills, Education & Experience
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role or as an operational leader in I2P.
- In-depth understanding of end-to-end I2P processes, best practices, and optimization in a GBS environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and Invoice Management Systems (IMS).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical skills.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders, communicate to large audiences, and adapt communication style to diverse contexts.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to follow-ups and detail.
- Proactive, curious, and motivated by continuous improvement – always asking “why” until all aspects are clear.
- Fluency in English and French; knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to or experience in Procurement processes.
- Familiarity with Project Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Experience with process mapping, process mining, or data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of automation, digital transformation, or efficiency initiatives.
