As a Health & Safety Specialist within our Global Business Support (GBS) division, you will play a vital role in ensuring our colleagues go home safe every day.
We are looking for a dedicated professional who thrives on keeping others protected. You will shape safety culture, drive compliance, and bring expertise that directly impacts the well-being of our teams across ENGIE GBS Romania.
What You'll Do
- Identify workplace hazards and assess risks across all components of the work system, developing and updating comprehensive prevention and protection plans.
- Design and deliver training programs for all phases of occupational health and safety (OHS) and emergency situations, ensuring all employees understand and apply safety procedures.
- Conduct regular internal inspections at work sites, reporting findings to management and proposing corrective measures to eliminate risks.
- Monitor the functionality of protection systems, safety equipment and ventilation installations, ensuring periodic verifications are completed by competent personnel.
- Investigate workplace incidents, maintain required records, and prepare accident reports in compliance with Romanian legislation (Law 319/2006, HG 1425/2006).
- Collaborate with occupational medicine physicians, external prevention services and employee representatives to coordinate protection measures and annual medical examination planning.
- Develop and implement Emergency Evacuation Plans and Fire Prevention Plans in partnership with building managers across ENGIE GBS Romania.
What You Bring
- Technical university degree with specialized certification in occupational health and safety (minimum 180 hours, including risk assessment for accidents and occupational illness).
- Certification in emergency situations management (civil protection and fire prevention).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in occupational health and safety activities.
- Strong knowledge of Romanian OHS legislation, including HG 1425/2006, HG 1146/2006, HG 1048/2006, and HG 971/2006.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with empathy and initiative.
- Fluent in Romanian and English (written and spoken).
