For our Strategy Team in Brussels, we are currently looking for a Strateco Analyst!

YOUR CHALLENGE as Strateco Analyst

• Your overall mission is to study, evaluate, report and advise on the evolution of the profit pools derived from the portfolio of customers and activities of Marketing and Sales (M&S), by conducting strategic and economic analyses, under the leadership of the M&S Strategy manager. You collect autonomously all available information and establish analyses and summaries that will guide the strategic reflections of the M&S Management.
• You conduct analyses linked to, among others:
  • the formulation of strategic recommendations to support the organization's vision and mission.
  • the determination of the hypotheses of the MTP related to the entirety of the M&S activities, from energy to new products and services, in all customer segments
  • the tracking of the current and expected performance of the Marketing and Sales BU to achieve the MTP goals in an Agile setting; your focus is laid on determining key indicators that will steer the organization through both the Budget and the Agile cycles
  • the evolution of the drivers of the global M&S environment (demand, competitors, entrants, regulation,…), and the rise of potential disruptors to the supplier activity (overall market structure, energy efficiency, decentralization,…)
  • the monitoring of the market size evolution in terms of energy transition related assets
  • the follow up of business models through market scanning
  • the monitoring of regulatory and technological initiatives related to the energy sector. This monitoring will be done in close collaboration with the squads concerned and the Regulatory Affairs department. By staying informed, you will be able to assess the impacts on M&S business operations.
  • the support towards the concerned squads by contributing to the discussions with external stakeholders with a good understanding of the M&S needs and aligned with the strategic ambitions of the organization.
  • the changes in the portfolio of customers and their needs
  • the components of the marketing mix for M&S in the medium and long term (e.g. Channels, Digital, P&S, etc.)
• You drive the analysis in collaboration with the Teams, Squads, Chapters and Center of Excellences at the heart of the  M&S organization. You build a network outside M&S to liaise with other departments when necessary.
• In all activities, you set your analytical mind at work upon all the data available in M​​&S, making use of large datasets related to energy sales activities, products and services, customer activity and market research feedback. You will rely on the capabilities of the Data  team to translate the figures into relevant analyses and then into strategic recommendations influencing the trajectory of M&S.

YOUR PROFILE as Strateco Analyst

• University degree in an economic or scientific subject
• At least 5 years' professional experience in the sector
• Strong analytical skills, you develop scenarios and are able to connect different concepts to form a strategic reasoning
• Good understanding of technical concepts related to the energy transition
• You take ownership and are proactive in reaching answers. You have a demonstrated ability to effectively balance this with bringing others along and seeking input and guidance required to reach a quality conclusion
• You communicate effectively with various stakeholders by delivering clear messages.
• You are able to synthesise complex files into clear and concise messages
• You have solid presentation skills and are able to convince senior members of M&S thanks to the clarity of your analysis
• You are a driver of innovation and motivated by change
• You are a team worker, able to work with very different profiles across M&S and throughout ENGIE
• You are fluent in French, Dutch and English
• You have a strong safety and environmental awareness. You always take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues!
