The working environment
- Work within our Innovation Lab, part of the Strategy, Business Development, Innovation, Marketing & Communications Department (Nuclear)
- Report directly to the Head of Space Lab
- Our Space Lab is committed to developing power solutions (nuclear and others) for space applications. Our projects range from fuel and batteries to propulsion, transport and life bases.
- We have an entrepreneurial mindset, we team up with partners from the sector, we set up projects and market them to potential customers and/or possible funding organisations.
Your role
- You support the Head of Space Lab in setting up new projects and in the business development activities.
- You participate in the drafting of proposals.
- You are the project manager for a portfolio of space projects, responsible for delivering the projects in due quality, schedule and budget.
- In some cases, you may also act as leader of a consortium of partners and subcontractors.
Your profile
- You hold a master's degree from an accredited engineering university.
- You have 5+ years of experience in the space exploration sector or in the engineering/aerospace sector with knowledge of space exploration. An experience in nuclear is a real asset.
- You are ambitious, self-driven and result-oriented with a strong interest in innovation and product development.
- You are result-oriented, well structured, autonomous, and you manage projects with many stakeholders efficiently.
- You have a critical mind, and you like to be knowledgeable in your field of work.
- You have an excellent command of English, and a good knowledge of Dutch and/or French. Knowledge of other languages is welcome.
- You are a natural communicator (both oral and written), able to explain complex topics in understandable language to your different stakeholders.
- You have a great capacity for multicultural human relations, and you are a team player.
- You are willing to travel abroad on short missions.
