Are you an experienced buyer with an interest or knowledge of industrial production sites, this job might interest you! For our power plants located in the north of Belgium (Brugge, port of Antwerp & Gent, Drogenbos & Vilvoorde), we are currently looking for a  Senior Buyer

Your Key Responsibilities as Senior Buyer (M/F/X):

• • • Enhance Business Partner Satisfaction and Ensure Compliance by increasing the satisfaction rate and reducing procurement costs
    • Conduct Daily Purchasing Activities with a focus on accuracy and efficiency, ensuring all activities comply with governance rules and meet internal customer expectations
    • Analyze and Optimize Procurement Needs: Conduct thorough needs assessments and optimize procurement strategies to achieve improvement in cost efficiency, as directed by the Head of Purchasing.
    • Engage with Business Partners: Maintain proactive and continuous communication with internal business partners, anticipating procurement needs and providing solutions within a 48-hour timeframe.
    • Execute Procurement Processes: Set up purchase requests and orders accurately, identify and vet potential suppliers,  conduct tenders, negotiate favorable terms and implement contracts ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Sustainable Development policies, and Ethics standards.
    • Participate in Meetings and Support Activities: Attend and actively contribute to status and team meetings, support local supplier management activities, and resolve issues with Accounting and Business departments.

Your Profile as Senior Buyer(M/F/X)  :

• • • University degree in Engineering or Economics preferred, or equivalent experience.
    • Over 5 years of relevant procurement experience, particularly in technical projects and Framework Agreements for Works & Services.
    • Solid procurement knowledge, including negotiation, supplier & contract management, governance.
    • Proactive, positive attitude, strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to work in complex team environments, and resilience to stress.
    • Fluency in Dutch – English and French oral proficiency
