Mission description:
The mission will consist of assisting EC Commercial activities in the area of innovation and marketing. This will mainly (but not exhaustively) consist of :
• Support the animation of the Cross-GEMS innovation Community by organising regular events : organise regular meetings, identify and invite inspiring speakers
• Competitive Watch to support Commercial activities and spread the innovation mindset by preparing regular innovative news flashes to share with the Community
• Develop AI based ways to automate the production of Commercial Flashes highlighting new business developments and successes
• Be instrumental in the successful organisation of the GEMS Innovation Trophies through identification of potential candidates, organisation of assessment and juries and management of follow up actions, supporting the innovators
• Organize the tracking and records of key metrics, data and market moves on the identified business development areas
• Support the set up and the follow up of the innovative initiatives development pipe (from prospective areas to products; learning points and return of experiences)
• Contribute to Commercial Community and Client animations.

The VIE will work from Brussels office.

Education & background:

- Master level education


Soft skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Strong analytical and summarizing skills
- Solution-oriented approach and positive mindset
- Strong interests for innovation, energy transition, new businesses
- Good interpersonal skills

Hard skills:
- Experience in the Energy Sector, Innovation Management, Strategy or Marketing is a very strong plus
- Fluency in other languages such as French or Dutch is a strong asset
- Any other digital skills are highly valuable (web design, coding, data analysis)

- Mastery of standard IT tools (Microsoft suite, etc.)
