ENGIE Laborelec is a research and expertise center focused on electrical power technology, with a team of over 335 employees from different background. We are part of the ENGIE Group, and more particular the newly created entity called ENGIE Research & Innovation. We support the entire electricity value chain, providing customized solutions to a diverse range of customers from various fields and industries. About the team


Our Digital department develops digital solutions to support a sustainable transition of the energy sector. We design and develop software as a service to help and empower our customers.

Our teams are specialized in Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Measurement Systems, Software and Embedded Software Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, and Industrial Cyber Security. Altogether, we develop solutions for both external customers and for internal Laborelec services. 

Our solutions for customers are co-created with our business colleagues (energy experts), product owners, and digital experts. We provide solutions of different maturity levels ranging from industrialized software (for commercial solution), prototypes or proofs of concepts (for R&D projects)..

What you’ll be doing


Your responsibilities as Full-Stack Developer

You play an active role in projects that are mostly related to renewable energy like solar, wind, energy production, e-mobility, energy storage and many more:

-       You will contribute to the development of front-ends and back-ends in the digital team of Laborelec that can be used within Laborelec and ENGIE

-       You will participate in every phase of the digital solution lifecycle: actively contributing to every phase of the development; analyzing the problem and designing the most relevant solution.

-       You will work in an agile environment and with agile teams that deliver high customer and business value, together.

-       Like programming: code quality; correctness of algorithms and code; code clarity & comments; code reusability; unit testing; correct use of design patterns are important parts of the job (to be used or learned)

-       Have experience in front-end and back-end development (React / JavaScript / HTML / CSS / Python / Flask / …).

-       Want to learn as in this job you will be able to use and/or learn the following technologies. Python, React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript,Node.js,AWS Cloud, Kafka, MongoDB, Elastic search, Flask, swagger, oAuth2, Gitlab, Vagrant, Conda, Ansible, Kubernetes

-       Have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science (or equivalent)

-       Speak fluently English and ideally either French or Dutch

-       Have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience

-       Love to collaborate with others

-       Work in autonomy and are you able to mentor junior profiles in the team

-       Have good communication skills
