Organization
We have an exciting opportunity for a “Cloud Architect”. He/She will be part of the infrastructure team that is leading the Move to Cloud journey for GEMS. We are a bi-localised (Paris/Brussels) team of workmates (#45), striving to deliver a high quality of service.
YOUR contribution
Context
In order to assist our applicative teams in this major technical transformation, we are looking for new competences that are motivated to joined us and play a strategic role by collaborating, as infrastructure team member, to the integration of all Cloud services in an automated and secured way but also be close of the application team to assist them in their applications transformation.
Role
In this role you will be responsible for :
- Define Cloud best practices and standards within GEMS including security point of view
- Ensure that GEMS Infrastructure standards are well known and applied
- Being part of the Cloud community of GEMS
Key missions
- Contribute to the Infrastructure as Code patterns and Cloud policies
- Work closely with application teams to define their target architecture in Cloud on secure and redundant way by design
- Catch new needs and raise them to infrastructure to discuss together about the better way to build it
- Be part of the Cloud community to spread all best practices and standards within GEMS IS
- Assist application teams to have good security KPI (based on ENGIE security baseline)
- Be the main infrastructure contact for specific teams in order to solve their issues and if needed raised them to your infrastructure colleagues if a specific assistance is needed
- Contribute to the global Finops governance by advising applications teams
Travels
Some travels to Paris (few times a year)
More travels might be requested during the onboarding phase in order to speed up the integration
About YOU
Hard skills
Must have:
- Azure architect certification
- Knowledge on infrastructure as code (biceps, terraform) and you know how to setup Azure devops pipelines to release (infrastructure or policies)
- Experience on security components (NSG, WAF…)
- Experiences on PaaS but also IaaS environment, means tooling for Vm Management in the cloud
- Knowledge on IAM topics (basic on AD and good knowledge on AAD and Azure roles management)
- Knowledge on Linux and Windows OS (can be better on one of them)
Good to have:
- Knowledge on containers technology : Kubernetes
- Good knowledge of key network component to being able to analyze network issues

- Outstanding communication and training skills; strong critical thinking and analytical skills

Education and professional background
- At least 5 years of experience in Azure Cloud with a significant volume and complexity
- Degree of Higher Education
