Context:

The back-office service manages energy (mainly gas and electricity), sale and purchase contracts once they have been signed, along with invoicing, reporting, recovery and estimates of volumes and revenues.

 

The BO ATS team ensures the technical settlement of the contracts related to physical power assets .

The team is ideally placed between the front office organization (BP SPaaS ) and the finance organization (EC FINOPS ).

Role:

BO ATS team member is the reference for the settlement of all power physical assets contracts.

  • Valorization of the power assets related contracts, amongst other contracts with the TSO’s on ancillary services and specific tolling contracts with asset owners
  • Support the front office teams (contract negotiation and management, optimization desks, study teams) by giving input on the realization of structured contracts, helping in constructing new contracts or in the case of change in the market design. Propose optimization and/or simplification of the contracts and processes.
  • Animate the exchanges with external counterparties, based on technical and contractual argumentation, in order to settle financial discrepancies.
  • Participate in the development of GEMS by providing support in settlement, closing and invoicing processes for new contracts or offers for Third Party Asset Management, or any other development of new services.
  • Prepare the future of the new deal entry tool that is under development.
  • Collaborate in the digitalization project of the team toolbox
  • The power assets related contracts will be in scope of the function.
  • The team member BO ATS will report to the head of BO ATS, within EC FINOPS

Hard skills:

  • You like working with big data, big databases, developing in Python.
  • You like to approach technical as economic challenges.
  • An experience in finance/business control is a plus.
  • You can work in a reactive and very demanding environment
  • Data and database skills, developer skills are a plus (Python); PowerBI; Dataiku

Soft skills:

  • Autonomous, dynamic and rigorous, you’re able to be both analytical and synthetic.
  • You have good relationship skills, your communication abilities are proven, you’re comfortable in written and spoken communication, which helps you to get the adhesion of your counterparts.
  • You are a team player, this quality is key to give the impulsion to the BO ATS team and to bring them to the required level of performance.

Education and professional background:

  • BAC+5, engineering or finance background. Ideally, you are experienced in the energy sector, this experience having given you the sense of business management and data analysis.

Languages:

  • English
  • Good level of French is a plus

Travels:

  • Brussels based
