At ENGIE, great adventures always start with a simple "hello" and the desire to take action for tomorrow. If, like us, you strongly believe the energy transition holds opportunities for you and for everyone, then look no further, you belong with us!
Our goal is to be the best energy transition utility, and we have an ambition to reach net zero emissions by 2045. In Australia, this includes flexible power generation, energy retail services for homes and businesses, advanced energy management solutions, and a growing portfolio of future-focused projects — from hydrogen and battery storage to wind and solar developments.
About the Role
We’re looking for a results-driven B2B Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team on a fixed-term contract through to December 2026, covering parental leave. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role focused on acquiring new Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers in the energy retail market – primarily through Third Party Intermediaries (TPIs).
If you thrive in a transactional sales environment, love closing deals, and are passionate about clean energy, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the growth of our B2B energy portfolio through disciplined sales execution.
- Manage high volumes of inbound and outbound sales opportunities.
- Convert leads into contracted customers, primarily via TPIs.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation for pricing, approvals, onboarding, and handover.
- Build strong relationships with TPIs and commercial clients to stay ahead of the competition.
- Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal frameworks.
- Champion continuous improvement in CRM usage, sales admin, and engagement quality.
- Provide regular reporting on sales activities and pipeline performance.
About You
You’re a commercially minded professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about delivering results. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in B2B energy sales or a similar high-volume, target-driven commercial setting.
- A solid understanding of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customer needs and the broader energy retail landscape.
- The ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously while maintaining focus, organisation, and meeting tight deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in pricing, documentation, and data entry throughout the sales cycle.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and sales reporting tools to manage pipelines and support data-driven decision-making.
- Hands-on experience with commercial contracting and client onboarding, ensuring a smooth and professional customer journey.
- Strong relationship-building skills, particularly with Third Party Intermediaries (TPIs) and commercial clients, to stay competitive and responsive in the market.
