Job Description: Aveva Wonderware Product Owner – ENGIE India
Job Summary
The Aveva Wonderware Product Owner at ENGIE India is the key interface between the business needs of the Global Hypervision Center (GHC) in Paris and the feature team responsible for the deployment and evolution of the Aveva Wonderware-based solution. This role ensures that the team delivers high-quality software aligned with ENGIE’s standards, business objectives, and the global product vision. The Product Owner coordinates requirements gathering, backlog management, and delivery planning, and acts as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including the global Product Owner and R&F GBU Digital & IT teams.
Main Objectives
- Act as the liaison between the GHC business (client) and the feature team, translating business needs into actionable requirements and specifications.
- Coordinate the definition, development, and production of new software versions, ensuring quality, cost, and time objectives are met.
- Maintain alignment with ENGIE’s global product strategy and ensure consistency between the GHC and other ENGIE ROCCs worldwide.
- Manage the feature team backlog using tools such as Azure DevOps and plan deliveries for upcoming sprints and releases.
- Communicate regularly with the global Product Owner and other stakeholders to report progress, highlight risks, and propose enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect requirements from the head of the GHC and other stakeholders; write and maintain general and detailed specifications.
- Highlight risks, dependencies, and challenges, and proactively manage them with relevant parties.
- Plan and prioritize deliveries for sprints and upcoming months, ensuring clear communication of goals and timelines.
- Define detailed specifications, including inputs/outputs, mockups, and tasks for the development team.
- Coordinate the feature team’s activities, ensuring effective collaboration and agile delivery.
- Oversee testing, production deployment, and training activities.
- Ensure the team integrates into a dynamic, agile project environment and collaborates effectively with large, international teams.
- Facilitate the handover and knowledge transfer from the R&F Digital&IT team in France.
- Travel to France (Lyon or Paris) as required for team synchronization and handover activities.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product ownership, project management, or similar roles in OT/SCADA/hypervision environments.
- Proven experience in managing software projects in the renewable energy or industrial automation sector is an advantage.
- Experience working with Aveva Wonderware System Platform, OMI, and related technologies is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Advanced expertise in OT project management (hypervision, SCADA, etc.) – mandatory, highest priority.
- Familiarity with Aveva Wonderware System Platform, OMI, and Aveva Unified Operation Center (UOC) is desirable.
- Understanding of data historization (Aveva Historian) and industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC, Modbus, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, KANBAN) and backlog management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
Other Skills & Abilities
- Advanced proficiency in English (mandatory); French is an advantage.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
